REVOLUȚIA DIGITALĂ: ÎNTRE MIRAJ ȘI PERICOLUL MANIPULĂRII

Teme captivante, cum ar fi  revoluția digitală, fake news, manipularea informațională, au fost dezbătute cu mult interes marți, 13 februarie, la Lauder-Reut, în cadrul unui workshop susținut de doamna decan a Facultății de Comunicare și Relații Publice din SNSPA, prof. univ. dr. Alina Bârgăoanu. Această instituție de învățământ universitar este, în ultimii șase ani, partener academic al Complexului Educațional Lauder-Reut,  derulând împreună numeroase proiecte din sfera comunicării.

Cum o valorificăm, cum ne protejăm?", la care au participat elevi din clasele VIII-XI, este prima dintr-o serie de workshop-uri consacrate dezbaterii unei tematici de mare actualitate: robotică, tehnologii digitale, inteligență artificială, Internet of things, Big data, meseriile viitorului. Dar și unor discuții aplicate despre fața mai întunecată a acestei revoluții: securitatea digitală, amprenta digitală, fake news, infocalipsa. Pentru că lumea digitală este minunată, Digital world is awesome!, dar plină de capcane. Suntem adesea manipulați, chiar fără să ne dăm seama. Iată de ce, străvechiul imperativ moral „Să nu minți!” trebuie completat astăzi cu o cerință cognitivă la fel de imperativă: „Să nu te lași mințit!”. Pe de altă parte, la această vulnerabilizare a individului, avem propria contribuție. Lăsăm „urme” despre noi înșine prin fiecare click pe care îl dăm, prin fiecare căutare online pe care o facem. Pe scurt, suntem teribil de expuși, iar tinerii se află printre primele „victime”. De aici, necesitatea „alfabetizării digitale”, mai ales în rândul tinerilor, după cum a subliniat doamna decan.

Curiozitatea manifestată de elevii noștri, întrebările adresate doamnei profesor Alina Bârgăoanu, ca și aplauzele de la sfârșitul expunerii sale sunt relevante pentru reușita acestei întâlniri și încurajatoare pentru continuarea proiectului. După cum ar fi dorit ca inițiativa doamnei decan, de a integra subiectul „alfabetizării digitale” în eforturile  didactice din învățământul preuniversitar, să se extindă, după modelul Lauder, și în alte licee și școli gimnaziale. Iată câteva dintre impresiile formulate de elevi.

Dezbaterea a fost pe o temă interesantă pentru mine, care sunt pasionat de informatică. Am fost plăcut surprins să regăsesc în prezentare informații de bază despre tehnologii noi, cum ar fi Internet of Things, Big Data sau Artificial Intelligence.  Mi-a plăcut să aflu despre cele 2000 de drone folosite la Jocurile Olimpice ce se desfășoară acum în PyeongChang, care au format simbolul cu cele cinci cercuri al acestui eveniment. O altă temă a discuției s-a referit la riscul expunerii noastre pe Internet și la urmele pe care le lăsăm în mediul virtual cu fiecare click dat. Am avut și un subiect legat în special de ora de media: fake news/manipulare informațională, unde am descoperit niște exemple interesante de astfel de cazuri, în presă și nu numai. Felicit inițiativa Complexului Educațional Lauder-Reut și sper ca în viitor să avem cel puțin tot atâtea activități interesante ca acum!” (Tudor Coman, 9 R)

Deși această discuție a avut loc cu scopul de a conștientiza efectele mass-media asupra vieții noastre cotidiene, tehnologia a fost, de fapt, subiectul principal al întrevederii noastre, întrucât, din nefericire, dezvoltarea acesteia la nivel global, în ultimele decenii, a dus la amplificarea unor fenomene puțin vizibile ori sesizabile pentru foarte mulți cetățeni, dar extrem de periculoase pentru bunul mers al societății, precum fake news, manipularea sau linșajul mediatic. Am analizat cum aceste procedee sunt folosite atât în scopuri financiare, de diverse persoane fizice active în spațiul online, cât și în scopuri politice, de mari organizații de știri, ca CNN. Deși acest fake news nu înseamnă neapărat răspândirea de informații complet eronate, este clar că de fiecare dată este folosit ca armă a dezinformării. Așadar, această foarte productivă întrevedere a fost un prilej extraordinar pentru aproape toți elevii liceului de a-și exprima punctul de vedere cu privire la această problemă, de a-și lămuri orice curiozitate legată de mass-media și nu numai, dar și de a participa la o discuție interactivă.” (Matei Vlădescu, 10 U)

Prezentarea despre revoluția digitală și fenomenul Fake News, la care toți elevii liceului au participat, a fost foarte interesantă și concepută într-un mod plăcut nouă. Am urmărit diferite filmulețe, care ne-au făcut să înțelegem în ce mod ne afectează rețelele de socializare și faptul că orice click al nostru lasă o urmă în mediul online. Pericolele prezentate nu au părut atât de grave la prima vedere, dar la finalul prezentării am înțeles că Internetul nu este ceea ce pare. Mi-a plăcut că a fost o prezentare interactivă, care ne-a menținut atenția pe parcursul celor aproape două ore.” (Maria Lukacsi, 10 U)

 „După evenimentul de marți, mi-am dat seama câte informații mai mult sau mai puțin adevărate sau reale ne înconjoară, în special pe cei din generația mea. Deși accesul la rețele de socializare și Internet aduce numeroase avantaje, ne face vulnerabili la multe forme de manipulare informațională. Cu toate că nu sunt pasionată de informatică, consider că activitatea a fost accesibilă pentru toți elevii din Complexul Educațional Lauder-Reut, indiferent cât de interesați sunt de acest domeniu. Am înțeles că fiecare contact pe care îl avem cu platforma virtuală lasă urme. Pot spune că această  dezbatere a fost una dintre preferatele mele din cele petrecute în liceu.” (Smaranda Enache, 10 U)

Fake news-ul este o problemă ce ia amploare în comunicarea digitală și mass-media. De aceea, dezbaterea de marți a prezentat o temă de actualitate, cât și un subiect de care sunt pasionată. Mi-a plăcut discuția despre expunerea noastră pe Internet și amprentele digitale lăsate chiar și printr-un simplu click, poză sau căutare în lumea virtuală.” (Elena Becheanu, 10 R)

„Doamna decan de la SNSPA ne-a vorbit despre revoluția digitală și ne-a făcut să înțelegem ce înseamnă aceasta. Poate nu realizăm, dar în ultimii ani tehnologia a avansat extrem de mult și este capabilă să stocheze date și să afle informații despre noi mult mai ușor decât ne-am imagina. Printr-un simplu click, Internetul află ce vacanțe plănuim, ce ne place sau produsele de care am fi interesați. Tehnologia și-a făcut loc în viața noastră de zi cu zi, fără să observăm, de la telefoane până la obiecte de fashion și mobilier inteligent.” (Ana Cojocaru, 10 U)

Discursul despre fake news mi-a trezit o nouă grijă, și anume: chiar este adevărat sau important tot ceea ce este difuzat la televizor? În zilele noastre, sintagma Breaking news  apare mult prea des la știri care nu sunt neapărat importante. Ceea ce m-a impresionat a fost felul în care doamna decan a făcut prezentarea. Când a vorbit despre virtual fireworks (drone cu luminițe care sunt programate pe calculator să zboare în anumite forme), am realizat cât de mult a avansat tehnologia, cât de multe invenții impresionate au fost făcute în ultimii ani. În concluzie, în urma prezentării, am învățat că fake news pot fi oprite dacă oamenii au grijă să verifice sursa știrii, autorul și felul în care este scrisă.” (Horia Niculae, 9 U)

Tema dezbaterii a fost foarte interesantă deoarece subiectul este unul de actualitate, care ne afectează viața cotidiană. Fake news este un fenomen care a luat amploare în ultimii ani și de care trebuie să ne păzim. La prezentare, am aflat despre ce înseamnă fake news, cum facem diferența între știrile adevărate și cele false, și mai ales, cum să nu ne lăsăm manipulați de acest fenomen. Pe lângă aceasta, am vorbit și despre amprenta digitală, adică despre cum fiecare click spune ceva despre noi. Printr-un singur click transmitem informații despre preferințele sau dorințele noastre, urmând să fim asaltați de reclame care au legătură chiar și cu cea mai recentă căutare pe Internet.” (Antonia Ionescu, 10 R)

Prin sintagma fake news, înțelegem totalitatea informațiilor trucate, care nu au legătură cu adevărul, care nu reflectă adevărul dintr-un conținut. Informațiile trucate au rolul de a manipula cititorii articolului și nu doar pe ei. Informația poate fi transmisă mai departe populației, având o influență negativă asupra multor oameni. Mai mult, informațiile pot influența opiniile despre politică, inclusiv în campanii electorale, și despre aspecte importante din punct de vedere global. Am înțeles cât de nociv este rolul pe care îl joacă informațiile false în viața tuturor cetățenilor.” (Lukas Ionescu, 10 U)

            „Este esențial să filtrăm și să verificăm informațiile pe care le primim. Doamna decan Alina Bârgăoanu ne-a prezentat un videoclip care ne informa despre confidențialitatea noastră în mediul online, care, de altfel, este inexistentă. Mi s-a părut o experiență interesantă.” (Miruna Mlădin, 9 U)

            „Prezentarea și discuția au fost foarte interesante și captivante. Îmi doresc să particip și în viitor la astfel de evenimente.” (Teodor Ovidiu Tender, 9 U)

            „Am asistat la o prezentare foarte interesantă, în care am fost informați despre efectele fake news și despre modalitățile de a ne feri de acest fenomen. Cred că este foarte important să diferențiem informația reală și de actualitate de fake news, iar doamna decan ne-a ajutat să facem acest lucru.” (Monica Elena Stănescu, 9 R)

            „Am aflat despre riscul la care suntem expuși de noile inovații tehnologice. Doamna decan ne-a arătat niște filmulețe foarte drăguțe. Am aflat că revoluția digitală este a patra revoluție tehnologică și care sunt gadgeturile care folosesc o tehnologie avansată. Mi-a plăcut faptul că am primit noi informații despre lumea în care trăiesc și despre viteza cu care aceasta se schimbă.” (Daria Goldenberg, 9 U)
