ÎNTÂLNIRE PESTE ANI CU AMBASADORUL CĂTĂLIN AVRAMESCU

Sorry, you have not enough rights to view this image.Profesor la Universitatea din București, Facultatea de Științe Politice, ambasadorul Cătălin Avramescu s-a întâlnit marți, 14 noiembrie 2017, pentru a doua oară cu elevi ai Școlii Lauder. Prima întâlnire a avut loc la Helsinki, în decembrie 2014, când opt elevi de la Lauder-Reut au participat la Festivalul de creativitate/publicitate EUROBEST. Invitați, atunci, la Ambasada României, cu prilejul Zilei Naționale, elevii noștri au fost primiți cu deosebită căldură și atenție. Revenit în țară după 5 ani, în care a reprezentat România ca Ambasador în Finlanda și Estonia, domnul Cătălin Avramescu s-a arătat la fel de amabil și deschis dialogului cu elevii de la Lauder.

Principala temă de interes a fost sistemul educațional din Finlanda, dincolo de statistici și topuri, unde, știm cu toții, Finlanda se află între primele țări performante din lume. Care este sistemul de notare, cum sunt motivați elevii pentru a învăța, ce pondere au activitățile extra-curriculare și cât contează acumularea de cunoștințe în procesul educativ ‒ sunt câteva dintre temele care au stârnit curiozitatea elevilor. Ei au aflat și că, în Finlanda, profesorii sunt foarte respectați, chiar mai mult decât doctorii, a spus dl. Avramescu, subliniind că principalul criteriu de promovare a omului de la catedră este competența, filtrată permanent, prin numeroase examinări. În contextul discuțiilor despre cariera diplomatică, elevii au aflat că Președintele Finlandei invită, în fiecare an, de Ziua Națională, numeroase persoane care au obținut succese în diferite domenii de activitate și că le tratează la fel de protocolar ca pe membrii corpului diplomatic. Curiozitatea elevilor s-a îndreptat și spre mass-media finlandeză, mai precis spre talk show-uri și emisiunile informative. S-a vorbit și despre comunitatea de români din Finlanda, destul de mică, dar prezentă pe toate palierele sociale și profesionale, inclusiv la nivel universitar. De altfel, chiar dl. Avramescu, înainte de a fi fost ambasadorul României la Helsinki, a beneficiat, timp de doi ani, de o bursă postdoctorală oferită de statul finlandez.

Firește, nu a lipsit momentul de remember, la întâlnire fiind prezenți și patru dintre cei opt elevi care au fost la Helsinki în 2014: Alexandra Dumitrașc, Ines Brătășanu, Alexandru Dabu și Andrei Mitre, ultimii doi fiind acum studenți. Impresii ale elevilor despre această întâlnire:

„Vizita domnului ambasador Cătălin Avramescu a fost o experiență inedită, ocazie cu care am aflat multe lucruri noi despre cultura finlandeză, dar și despre sistemul eficient folosit de această țară pentru a-și educa viitorii cetățeni. Prezentarea culturii finlandeze și a sistemului de învățământ a fost deosebit de interesantă, iar unele detalii aflate la acest eveniment m-au fascinat cu adevărat. Am descoperit o altă lume, construită diferit față de ceea ce mi-am imaginat, o lume care are la bază o structură bine definită de valori sociale, standarde profesionale, dar și responsabilități civice. Pot să afirm că am fost plăcut impresionat de felul în care au fost descrise școlile finlandeze și am reținut că toți profesorii sunt apreciați și respectați. Pe de altă parte, am avut oportunitatea să aflăm și despre experiența colegilor noștri care au participat la Festivalul Eurobest 2014, eveniment la care mi-aș dori să particip și eu pe viitor, împreună cu grupa cursului de media.” (Tudor Coman, 9 R)

„Întâlnirea cu ambasadorul Cătălin Avramescu, din data de 14 noiembrie, a fost o activitate mult așteptată. Am avut șansa de a discuta despre Finlanda și sistemul de învățământ finlandez, care este printre cele mai bune din lume. Am aflat că, deși acest sistem este de succes, în România nu ar putea fi aplicat, atât din motive financiare, finlandezii investind mult în învățământ, cât și din motive culturale. Domnul Avramescu a adus în prim-plan o anecdotă care reliefează diferențele culturale dintre copiii din țările baltice și copiii din țările nordice: atunci când joacă hochei, copiii din țările nordice fac liniște, iar atunci când copiii din țările baltice joacă fotbal, în teren este mult zgomot. Consider că domnul Avramescu este o persoană interesantă și că această întâlnire a ajutat la lărgirea cunoștințelor mele generale despre Finlanda.” (Monica Burcușel, 9 R)

 „Pentru mine, întâlnirea cu dl. ambasador Cătălin Avramescu a fost  o ocazie unică, în care am aflat, direct de la domnul ambasador, mai multe informații legate de sistemul educațional din Finlanda. Această întâlnire a fost una interesantă, deoarece am avut șansa să descopăr lucruri noi despre Finlanda și despre modul cum se studiază și se face performanță. Am rămas plăcut impresionată de cultura și educația din Finlanda, mai ales că până la această prezentare nu cunoșteam prea bine această țară.” (Ana Ingrid Dorobanțu, 10 U)

„Întâlnirea cu ambasadorul Cătălin Avramescu m-a lăsat plăcut impresionată, având în vedere că am aflat multe informații despre sistemul de învățământ din Finlanda, mai precis, cum de funcționează atât de bine și cum se procedează ca elevilor să le facă plăcere să învețe. Mi s-a părut o modalitate ingenioasă de învățare, dar, pe de altă parte, consider că acest tip de educare a elevilor nu ar putea fi implementat în țara noastră, având în vedere diferențele majore între modul de gândire al oamenilor, după cum a spus și domnul ambasador.” (Andreea Olteanu, 9R)

„Din punctul meu de vedere, întâlnirea care a avut loc pe data de 14 noiembrie în cadrul Complexului Educațional Lauder-Reut a fost una benefică pentru elevii acestui liceu, fostul Ambasador al României în Finlanda aducându-ne în prim-plan idei originale asupra învățământului și vieții din Nordul Europei. Sunt de părere că cel mai interesant subiect a fost cel în care am fost informați în legătură cu sistemul de notare și rezultatele obținute de elevii finlandezi la examenele naționale și concursuri de prestigiu, toate aceste date fiind încadrate în categorii bine definite. În concluzie, mi-aș dori să beneficiez pe viitor de asemenea discuții cu actuali sau foști ambasadori ai României în țările din Occident, acolo fiind alte standarde sociale și culturale față de cele din Estul Europei.” (Rareș Bundă, 9 R)

„Am avut deosebita onoare de a participa la întâlnirea cu domnul ambasador Cătălin Avramescu. Acesta ne-a prezentat multe aspecte referitoare la Finlanda și la sistemul de învățământ finlandez, informații care îi vor ajuta pe elevii care doresc să își continue studiile  acolo. Întâlnirea  cu dânsul a fost o plăcere, deoarece a avut o atitudine deschisă și prietenoasă,  ceea ce  ne-a făcut să fim mult mai curioși  și interesați de venirea lui.” (Ana Cojocaru 10 U)

 „Întâlnirea cu ambasadorul Cătălin Avramescu a fost o experiență plăcută. Domnul Avramescu a ținut un discurs care te îndemna să te gândești critic la învățământul românesc, prezentând într-o lumină bună sistemul de învățământ finlandez. De asemenea, ne-a povestit despre viața ca diplomat și ca profesor și despre diferențele dintre poporul finlandez și cel român. În opinia mea, întâlnirea cu domnul Cătălin Avramescu a fost o experiență plăcută și folositoare și pentru că ni s-au deschis noi orizonturi în legătură cu alegerea unei cariere de viitor.” (Giacomo Rotman, 9 R)

„Această experiență a fost una reușită și a meritat toată atenția mai ales datorită informațiilor despre sistemul educațional din Finlanda, despre diplomație și despre mass media, oferite de domnul ambasador. Elevii și profesorii au fost foarte interesați de subiectele discutate și au pus întrebări domnului Avramescu. Pe scurt, această prezentare îmi va fi mie de folos, cât și colegilor mei.” (Antonia Alexandra Ionescu, 10 R)

Prezentarea domnului ambasador Avramescu a fost una interesantă și plină de surprize, întrucât am aflat lucruri noi din domeniul media, domeniul diplomației și al comunicării, despre Finlanda și sistemul ei educațional. Informațiile prezentate au fost primite cu căldură, urmate de un set de întrebări ce au oferit detalii asupra sistemului de notare, asupra activităților sportive desfășurate în Finlanda și asupra relațiilor armonioase dintre Suedia și Finlanda. La finalul prezentării am realizat câte lucruri unice am putut afla datorită discursului bine structurat și concis al domnului Ambasador.” (Bianca Ana Trușcă, 10 R)

„M-am bucurat să aud că domnul Avramescu va veni să ne vorbească. Prima oară l-am cunoscut când am fost invitați de Ziua Națională la Ambasada României din Helsinki. Știam că avea să ne spună lucruri interesante, dat fiind și entuziasmul elevilor de a pune întrebări. Mi-a făcut plăcere să ne revedem și sper că va reveni să ne vorbească, deoarece timpul acordat a fost mult prea scurt pentru poveștile interesante prezentate.” (Alexandra Dumitrașc, 12 R)
